IKEA

Made for life

A new communication platform for IKEA built on life as it really is, not as it looks in the catalogue.

A pot of steaming food on the kitchen counter. A bowl upside down, pasta and sauce spreading across the floor. Soft little feet sticking out from a high chair.

"Pot, full of homemade organic bolognese that took four hours to make, and that had become a favourite even with the fussy two-year-old. If only it hadn't been served in the 'wrong' bowl."

It's the small stories that add up to a whole life. The scenes are usually a little messy and unpolished, and that's exactly why we recognise ourselves in IKEA's campaign.

"Nobody knows life at home better than we do, and we wanted to show how our products are actually used out there," says Annika Mørch Asté, Marketing Communication Manager at IKEA Norway.
